In this study, several genes previously reported to initiate antimicrobial and antiviral immune responses, such as C-C Motif Chemokine Ligand 5 (CCL5) [43,44], Colec2 [45], Lactotransferrin (LTF) [46–48], CD46 Molecule (CD46) [16], and Neutrophil Cytosolic Factor 1 (NCF1) [42], showed specific AS events in mastitis-infected mammary glands. This evidence concerns the gene LTF and mastitis.
