Antagonistic effects of ADAMTS9 hypermethylation and consumption of stewed fish with brown sauce (≥1 times/week) on the risk of CRC were observed (OR = 0.50, 95% CI: 0.25–0.99, P = 0.046; Supplementary Data Table S10) compared with unmethylated ADAMTS9 and consumption of stewed fish with brown sauce (<1 times/week). Here, ADAMTS9 is linked to colorectal carcinoma.
