Histological examination of the operative specimen resulted in a diagnosis of GBM, and this diagnosis was based on the following characteristic features; high cellularity, pleomorphism with giant cells, endothelial proliferation, pseudo-rosette formation, necrosis (Fig. 1B a, b, c), and a high Ki-67 index of 20 % (Fig. 1B d). Here, MKI67 is linked to glioblastoma.
