In our experience, about 70% of BRAF metastatic melanoma patients have a detectable mutation on pretreatment ctDNA, and those patients with detectable BRAFV600E mutation on ctDNA pretreatment have a poor outcome, with a median OS of 7 months versus 22 months for those without pretreatment BRAFV600E mutation on ctDNA [37].
