Another well-studied isoform is CD44v6, which is associated with PCa proliferation, invasion, adhesion, metastasis, chemo-/radioresistance, and the induction of epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT) as well as the activation PI3K/Akt/mTOR and Wnt signaling pathways, and CD44v6 expression was closely associated with conventional prognostic factors and is identified as significant predictor for biochemical recurrence in PCa [34,35]. The gene discussed is MTOR; the disease is posterior cortical atrophy.
