In contrast, the Caucasian population exhibit NFKB1 -94 ins/del ATTG promoter variant associated increased susceptibility to cancer in dominant (DD+DW vs. WW: OR = 1.20, 95% CI = 1.10–1.31, P < 0.0001), homozygous (DD vs. WW: OR = 1.15, 95% CI = 1.01–1.31, P = 0.03), heterozygous (DW vs. WW: OR = 1.22, 95% CI = 1.11–1.34, P < 0.0001), and allelic (D vs. W: OR = 1.11, 95% CI = 1.04–1.17, P = 0.001) models (Table 3), with low heterogeneity found in Caucasians (Table 4). This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and cancer.
