The amounts of TNF in supernatants from BCG-stimulated PBMCs were significantly (p = 0.02 and p = 0.03, respectively) lower in the patients with severe sepsis (54 [36–150] pg/ml) than in the healthy controls (295 [198–626] pg/ml) and the patients with cured Q fever (362 [279–443] pg/ml). This evidence concerns the gene TNF and Sepsis.
