Recently, heterozygous missense mutations in SLC12A5 were shown to be associated with febrile seizures and idiopathic generalized epilepsy in humans12, 13, and very recently, autosomal recessive SLC12A5 mutations were reported to cause EIMFS14. This evidence concerns the gene SLC12A5 and Febrile seizure (within the age range of 3 months to 6 years).
