GSK3B and schizophrenia: Since abnormal function of the NAc is linked to the positive symptoms of schizophrenia56, our results indicated that the suppression of GSK3β functions via the Akt-GSK3β signalling pathway in the NAc is very likely to be involved in the therapeutic effects of antipsychotics (probably on the positive symptoms of schizophrenia) (Fig. 7A).
