MLKL expression, an independent prognostic biomarker in patients with early-stage resected pancreatic carcinoma, when low, is associated with a decrease in overall survival and recurrence-free survival in resected pancreatic carcinoma patients who receive adjuvant chemotherapy, even after accounting for adverse tumor characteristics and other known prognostic biomarkers [64]. This evidence concerns the gene MLKL and exocrine pancreatic carcinoma.
