Although studies already reported that ANXA2 knockdown negatively affects invasiveness and proliferation of human and rodent glioma cell lines in vitro [54] and in vivo [31], to the best of our knowledge, we report for the first time the effects mediated by ANXA2 inhibition in patient-derived primary GBM cells, thus strengthening our conclusions.
