These results appear to support recent reports suggesting that Scribble might have a dualistic role in cancer depending on mechanistic context: it can act as tumor suppressor but it can also promote tumor progression and metastasis through its interactions with PAK, NOS1AP and SHOC2 (Anastas et al., 2012, Nola et al., 2008, Young et al., 2013).
