EGFR and non-small cell lung carcinoma: In a study which included unselected NSCLC brain metastases patients treated with different methods between 1990 and 2011, Nieder et al. found that patients with ADCA had significantly longer survival (p = 0.019, the absolute difference in MST was 0.5 months) even in an earlier period (1990–2003) when pemetrexed and EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors were not available [8].
