In breast cancer Hs578T cells, BMP4 slightly downregulated asporin and phosphorylation of focal adhesion kinase (FAK) at tyrosine 397 (2.4 and 2.1 mean fold downregulation, respectively), while BMP2 did not cause any consistent changes (Figure 3A, 1.2 mean fold downregulation).
