The first genome-wide association study (GWAS) conducted by the Clozapine-Induced Agranulocytosis Consortium (CIAC) has provided substantial evidence for the role of HLA-DQB1 and HLA-B in clozapine-associated neutropenia.6 In this study we report analyses incorporating GWAS, human leukocyte antigen (HLA) allele imputation, exome array and copy-number variation (CNV) to examine genetic associations with clozapine-associated neutropenia. This evidence concerns the gene HLA-DQB1 and Decreased total neutrophil count.
