It has been reported that PDCD5 mRNA and protein were both downregulated in some human tumor tissues such as breast cancer (Hedenfalk et al. 2001), ovarian carcinoma (Gao et al. 2015; Zhang et al. 2011), gastric cancer (Yang et al. 2006), hepatocellular carcinoma (Xu et al. 2001), acute and chronic myeloid leukemia (Ruan et al. 2006), glioma (Li et al. 2008) and laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (Xu et al. 2013). This evidence concerns the gene PDCD5 and chronic myelogenous leukemia, BCR-ABL1 positive.
