Previous studies have demonstrated that LAPTM4B *2 allele was associated with significantly elevated risk of cancers, such as lung [15, 16], breast [17, 18], gastric [19], colon [20], ovarian [21], gallbladder cancer [22] and etc. Recent studies also suggested that LAPTM4B *2 was an independent prognostic biomarker for hepatocellular carcinoma [23], lung [24], breast [25], endometrial cancer patients [26] and etc. Here, LAPTM4B is linked to gallbladder cancer.
