MMP2 and pancreatic neoplasm: Interestingly, MMP2 is known to actively degrade fibronectin and collagen I [32, 33, 47], thus potentially linking these results to the decreased ability of Oct4A KD cells to adhere to fibronectin and collagen I. In the pancreatic cancer cell line model, diminution of Oct4 was associated with a decrease in MMP9 expression [48].
