We found that prostate cancer patients with tumors that highly expressed TMPRSS4 (Z > 1.00) had a significantly worse disease-free survival than the remaining patients (Z ≤ 1.00), while prostate cancer patients with tumors that lowly expressed TMPRSS4 (Z < −1.00) had a significantly better disease-free survival than the remaining patients (Z ≥ −1.00) (Supplementary Figure S1) from the analysis of TCGA-generated prostate adenocarcinoma data (MSKCC, Cancer Cell 2010) [21]. The gene discussed is TMPRSS4; the disease is prostate cancer.
