Recently, a study of BOLD-MRI in 104 breast invasive ductal carcinomas (IDCs) showed that resonance transverse relaxation rate (R2*) values were correlated with levels of HIF-1α, an endogenous hypoxic marker, and two prognostic factors, axillary lymph node metastasis and Ki-67 expression [17]. This evidence concerns the gene MKI67 and invasive ductal breast carcinoma.
