Nominal statistically significant interactions were observed between four SNPs in the CYP2E1 gene (rs2070675, rs915907, rs8192775, and rs743535) in relation to colorectal cancer and exposure to brominated THMs at concentrations > 40 μg/L (Table 3); however, none was statistically significant according to the Bonferroni-corrected p-value (0.03). Here, CYP2E1 is linked to colorectal cancer.
