Compared to vector control cells, at 24 hr post-infection (hpi), overexpression of individual FLAG-tagged YTHDF1–3 proteins in HeLa cells (Figure 2A) significantly inhibited HIV-1 infection by approximately 10-fold (Figure 2B, p<0.0005) and drastically reduced the synthesis of full-length viral Gag protein (Pr55) (Figure 2C). Here, YTHDF1 is linked to HIV-1 infection.
