Although not significant, a trend toward an increase in polychromatic erythroblasts (Poly-E) was observed in patients with ASXL1 mutations compared to those with WT ASXL1. In contrast, a decreased proportion of orthochromatic erythroblasts (Ortho-E) was observed in the BM of MDS/MPN patients with ASXL1 mutations (Fig. 1d).
