In line with results obtained from electrophoresis, the levels of lipocalin-1, lactotransferrin, extracellular glycoprotein lacritin, lysozyme-C, and prolactin inducible protein were significantly decreased, while the level of dermcidin was significantly elevated in AD tears, as compared to those of the controls (Fig 3,Table 2).
