MTA1 and neoplasm: Consistent with the results of Northern blotting, the expression level of wk-MTA1 was significantly higher in tumor tissues than in the adjacent nontumor tissues or normal liver tissues, as assessed using qRT-PCR [mean (± standard deviation; SD): 42.69 (± 26.67) vs 24.58 (± 16.29) and 21.69 (± 9.09) wk-MTA1/103-wk-DDX5 copies, respectively; P < .05] (Figure 2B).
