Concerning the molecular abnormality in GC, several genetic changes in gastric carcinogenesis have been elucidated including oncogenes (KRAS, b-catenin, ERBB2, PIK3CA etc.)[4–7] and tumor-suppressor genes (CDH1, p16, TP53, ARID1A etc.)[8–11]. This evidence concerns the gene TP53 and gastric cancer.
