In the context of the cardiac pathology in Fabry disease our results, consisting of a high sensitivity for elevated cTnI in patients with LVH (16/17, 94.1%) and the high negative predictive value (38/39, 97.4%) for regular troponin levels in the absence of a LVH, appears plausibly and underlines the reliability. This evidence concerns the gene TNNI3 and Fabry disease.
