Indeed, NOTCH1 was classified as a tumor suppressor in six tissues (breast invasive carcinoma [BRCA], head and neck squamous cell carcinoma [HNSC], kidney renal clear cell carcinoma [KIRC], lung squamous cell carcinoma [LUSC], ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma [OV] and uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma [UCEC]) in our analysis and as oncogene in two other tissues (colon adenocarcinoma [COAD] and lung adenocarcinoma [LUAD]). This evidence concerns the gene NOTCH1 and invasive breast carcinoma.
