MUC5AC and congenital rubella syndrome: The current study is the first to use isobaric tags to quantify exosomal proteins in human disease and it revealed that several groups of proteins are consistently altered in nasal exosomes in subjects with asthma + CRS and asthma only compared to control. An increased expression in exosomal mucin and serum-associated proteins was observed in subjects with airway diseases, which may reflect the inflammatory processes.
