The immunohistochemistry analysis showed that TRPA1 in DRG was markedly upregulated in the cystitis group (0.224 ± 0.04 vs 0.151 ± 0.02; Fig. 3g; P = 0.018) while the TRPA1 protein level in cystitis mucosa did not have any significant alteration (0.145 ± 0.02 vs 0.127 ± 0.02; P = 0.4). This evidence concerns the gene TRPA1 and chronic cystitis.
