Prolactin-treated spleen B-cells from B6.Sle3 mice were more resistant to apoptosis in [41]; PRL protected Nb2 cells from apoptosis mediated by dexamethasone through the expression of the Bcl-xL gene [42]; and in breast cancer cells, PRL increased the mRNA and protein expression of Bcl2 [43]. The gene discussed is BCL2L1; the disease is breast carcinoma.
