Recently, a cohort of genes related to cancer pathways have been identified and validated as targeted genes of miR-145, such as P70S6K, C-MYC, PAI-1, FASCIN, and SOX-2 [12–16], suggesting that miR-145 is an oncogene that plays a pivotal role in the initiation and progression of cancer. The gene discussed is RPS6KB1; the disease is cancer.
