Whilst Alzheimer’s disease is the most prevalent tauopathy, this group of disorders also includes progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), corticobasal degeneration, Pick’s disease, and frontotemporal lobar degeneration with tau pathology (Lee et al., 2001; Goedert and Spillantini, 2011). This evidence concerns the gene MAPT and corticobasal degeneration disorder.
