IL17A and rheumatoid arthritis: In August 2015, Burmester et al. reported that an anti-IL-17 antibody, secukinumab, induced rapid and significant changes from baseline in DAS28-CRP and in ACR20 and ACR50 response rates compared with placebo on biologic-naïve RA patients and that this treatment was much more effective in Caucasians from Russia than in those from the USA or EU [20].
