TLR4 and acute myocardial infarction: Our preliminary data (unpublished results) in a mouse model of acute myocardial infarction using the cyanobacterial TLR4 antagonist suggest that early inhibition of TLR4 signaling just before reperfusion positively affects tissue remodeling, since long-term cardiac function was better in mice treated with the antagonist in comparison to mice treated with vehicle.
