CD68 and diabetes mellitus: Our findings have added insights into the favorable effects of conventional immunosuppressive treatment, which includes inhibition of the inflammasome pathway in muscle tissue in patients with PM or DM, as well as several other pathways associated with immune response and inflammation, which was validated by immunohistochemistry confirming a low degree of inflammation in the post-treatment biopsies as assessed by CD3, CD68, and MHC-I expression.
