Conversely with the effects observed previously with the exosomes, MenSCs up-regulated the mRNA levels of VEGF and bFGF in PC3 cells (p < 0.05) (Figure 5A), while the total secretome and its microvesicular fraction showed no difference in mRNA level of VEGF and bFGF when compared to the control conditions (Figure 5B–5C), indicating that the observed modulation of tumor angiogenesis is an exosomes-specific effect.
