We found that oxidation of PTEN in HNSCC resulted in the accumulation of the core circadian molecule BMAL1 (i.e., ARNTL - Aryl hydrocarbon receptor nuclear translocator-like protein 1, Homo sapiens [Human], UniProtKB - O00327), which aligns to our studies in the epidermis of PTEN conditional knockout mice (Zagni et al., submitted). Here, BMAL1 is linked to head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
