In an attempt to investigate biomarkers for periodontal diseases, the other enzymes which associated with cell injury, including creatine kinase (CK), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), gamma glutamyl transferase (GGT), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), and acidic phosphatase (ACP), in saliva from patients with periodontal diseases (n = 30) and control group (n = 20) were studied by Todorovic et al.
