Figure 2d shows the top 20 pathways with the lowest p-values, the majority of which were involved in cell signaling, including the MAPK signaling pathway, which we have previously shown to be important in JIA neutrophils12, 19. The 296 isoforms were also enriched in 7 pathways (p < 0.05) as shown in Fig. 2e, where three pathways involving endocytosis, p53 signaling pathway, and pathways in cancer were common to those seen in miRNA functional analysis. This evidence concerns the gene TP53 and juvenile idiopathic arthritis.
