Studies included in this review investigated the psychological impact of anti-VEGF treatments by exploring one of the following topics: (1) Patients’ experiences or perspectives of the process of receiving anti-VEGF treatments for wAMD [4–9]; (2) Longer-term impact of anti-VEGF treatments on patients’ quality of life [10–13]; and (3) Depression/anxiety after receiving anti-VEGF treatments for wAMD [14–17]. This evidence concerns the gene VEGFA and major depressive disorder.
