Dnaaf1, also known as Lrrc50 (Leucine-rich repeat-containing protein 50) or Oda7 (Outer dynein arm 7), is important for ciliary beat frequency in Chlamydomonas reinhardtii and a causal gene for primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD) in humans (Kamiya 1988; Freshour et al. 2007; Duquesnoy et al. 2009; Loges et al. 2009). Here, DNAAF1 is linked to primary ciliary dyskinesia.
