In addition, miR-337-3p directly binds to the MMP-14 promoter to suppress its transcription via inducing chromatin remodeling and repressing MZF1 enrichment, thus inhibiting the growth, invasion, metastasis, and angiogenesis of gastric cancer cells in vitro and in vivo, suggesting the tumor suppressive functions of miR-337-3p in the progression of gastric cancer. Here, MMP14 is linked to gastric cancer.
