PTEN is often down-regulated in cancers and is associated with advanced stages of cancers or metastasis, [21, 34] including HCC.[22, 35] Our data uncovered that JARID2 was associated with increasing H3K27me3, not H3K4me3, at the PTEN promoter region in HCC, and this resulted in down-regulation of PTEN expression, which consequently promotes HCC cell invasion and metastasis. Here, JARID2 is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
