In univariate analysis, patients with septic shock were significantly older, more likely to have hypertension, lower platelet count and serum albumin level, higher CRP and PCT level, and higher positive blood culture rate than the comparison patients (p=0.01, 0.002, <0.001, <0.001, 0.04, 0.005, and 0.02, respectively, Table-1).
