The lncRNA MALAT1, which is overexpressed in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) and glioma, promotes tumor proliferation and metastasis capacity [23, 24], and the lncRNA Sox2ot promotes hepatocellular carcinoma cell metastasis and is correlated with a poor prognosis [25]. This evidence concerns the gene MALAT1 and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
