HP and non-small cell lung carcinoma: To evaluate the prognostic significance of the serum haptoglobin levels, we used serum haptoglobin cut-off value 1.495 mg/mL, which was calculated from previous ROC analysis, as a threshold to partitioned 205 NSCLC patients into two groups, high serum haptoglobin group (haptoglobin ≥ 1.495 mg/mL, n = 131) and low serum haptoglobin group (haptoglobin < 1.495 mg/mL, n = 74).
