Great progress has been achieved in AML treatment through past decades, however, some types of AML, especially AML with Fms-like tyrosine kinase-3 internal tandem duplication (FLT3-ITD) mutation, which comprised of 20-30% AML [1], are still incurable using currently approaches except for allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation [2]. This evidence concerns the gene FLT3 and acute myeloid leukemia.
