Histologically, tumors with RNAi against Fbxl17 showed significantly reduced growth compared to a nontargeting control as detected by vimentin staining (6.1 ± 1.7 mm2 vs. 12.4 ± 1.3 mm2; P < 0.05; Fig 6F and G), and also a significantly lower proliferative index within the tumor tissue (5.4 ± 3.6% vs. 20.8 ± 2.8%; P < 0.05; Fig 5H and I). This evidence concerns the gene VIM and neoplasm.
