A recent study using a whole transcriptome array showed that genes such as dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP4), interleukin-2 receptor alpha (IL2RA), protein tyrosine phosphatase, receptor type D (PTPRD), calcium channel, voltage-dependent, L type, alpha 1D subunit (CACNA1D), interleukin 1 receptor accessory protein (IL1RAP), solute carrier family 4 (SLC4A4), and potassium channel, subfamily K, member 5 (KCNK5) were up-regulated in BCR-ABL1-positive CML. This evidence concerns the gene KCNK5 and chronic myelogenous leukemia, BCR-ABL1 positive.
